Hawaiite Courtyard.

Inspired by the foundation forms of the enduring and reverent heiau across Hawaiʻi Island, this courtyard is composed wholly of Hawaiite. With special focus on Olivine Hawaiite, all stone material is sourced from Hawaiʻi Island, with all but the puka grey honed lava pavers coming directly from the site of this garden itself. In doing so, our design sought to elevate this divine earthen building material and the extant forms from which it has been sculpted.
